Faculty Senate
Purpose
The Faculty Senate plays an important role in the shared governance of the university. The Faculty Senate populates committees; formulates policies and regulations related to general education, admissions, and curriculum; and provides advice and recommendations to university administration. The organization and function of Faculty Senate is described in the Bylaws.
Senate Meetings
During the regular academic year the Faculty Senate meets on the third Thursday of each month at 3:10 pm.

Senate Planning Site
The Faculty Senate Executive Committee maintains a planning site that includes:
- A list of the Faculty Senate President's Priorities.
- A planner listing current, future and completed tasks of the Faculty Senate
- A president's notebook, including notes from meetings the president attends as a representative of the faculty.
Faculty Concerns
Faculty members can submit concerns to the Faculty Senate through one or more of the following means:
- Reach out to a senator
- Submit a concern using the Faculty Issue Form
