UTC Clarinet Competition and Festival
This December, UTC is hosting an online clarinet festival and competition with prizes awarded by Buffet & Company. The event will feature an All-State etude competition, master class on All State auditions, three interviews with guest artists and clinicians Brian Corbin, Andrea Levine, and Matt Vance, and a performance.

The Competition
This event includes a digital etude competition, geared towards helping students prepare for their All State auditions. Competition winners will receive awards from Buffet & Crampon’s ICON line of professional clarinet accessories. The competition will be judged the week before the virtual event, and winners will be announced during the event. In order to submit an audition recording, read the below information about eligibility, audition music, and submission deadlines.

Eligibility
To compete, you must be enrolled in a Tennessee middle school or high school.
Audition Requirements
To audition, video-record yourself performing your region’s senior clinic audition etudes. Audition etudes can be found on your region’s Band and Orchestra Association website, linked below, or you can get it from your band director. If you are in the tenth grade or below, you are welcome and encouraged to compete, but you must perform the senior clinic music, for 11th and 12th graders.

Deadline
The deadline for submission of your audition videos is Wednesday, November 25, 11:59 pm.
Submit Audition Materials
To submit audition materials, upload videos of your recordings to YouTube as Unlisted Videos. Combine them into a playlist, and submit a link to your playlist in the form below.
Register
Deadline: To register, submit your information in the form below by Friday, October 30, at 11:59 pm.
