Admissions Information Sessions: Get to know UTC with these in-depth visits. A visit begins with a meeting with an Admissions representative and an informative presentation about UTC. A student ambassador will then take you on a tour of the UTC campus, where you will explore campus housing and the Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC). You will then visit the Engineering, Math, and Computer Science (EMCS) building for a presentation on the various College of Engineering and Computer Science departments and a tour of the EMCS labs and classrooms.

A Day in the Life: UTC CECS is proud to offer this opportunity for high school students, their families, and high school personnel to experience hands-on activities, visit our facilities, learn about Engineering and Computer Science, and witness "A Day in the Life"! We will have various activities including Soil Classification and Bridge Design, Rocket Design and Baja Car Demonstration, Drone Control, Chem-E Car, Building Block Demonstration, and Cyber Security. Additionally, representatives from Financial Aid will present pertinent info, and a student panel will answer questions and discuss all aspects of being a CECS student.
Blue & Gold Preview Day: UTC's largest on-campus recruitment event presents all of the various colleges that comprise UTC, and the options for students within the colleges. CECS department representatives are available to speak with prospective students and parents about coursework, experiential learning, and career options!

Community and School Visits: The outreach coordinator, CECS professors, and/or student ambassadors are ready and willing to speak with students about opportunities in Engineering and Computer Science. We encourage students as young as third grade up to community college to persist in academic areas such as math and science. We also speak to lifelong learners and industry partner employees about returning to school for advanced degrees! We want all people with engineering propensities to view UTC CECS as choice #1!
Focus Friday: Get to know UTC and CECS with an in-depth visit. Focus Friday begins at the University Center with a meeting with an Admissions representative and an informative presentation about UTC. A student ambassador will then take you and your group on a tour of the UTC campus. You will then have a focused presentation on CECS and an opportunity to visit with CECS Dean and department representatives.
Girls Branch Out with STEM and Introduce a Girl to STEM Day: Working in partnership with Chattanooga State's Engineering and Information Technology division, CECS offers this opportunity for girls from local high schools to have hands-on activities especially related to Engineering and Computer Science. This event is often held several times during the Spring semester, often during Engineering Week and/or on Women in Engineering Day.
Moc Minute: Sponsored by Admissions, interested students bring all of their application materials with them are admitted in a Moc Minute! Represantives from Admissions, Scholarships, Financial Aid, Housing and Student Success will be on hand to answer questions. Meet current CECS students and faculty to find out how you can achieve the UTC experience.
NSBE ACT Review Workshop: Free to the public, the National Society of Black Engineers offers this event every Fall and Spring semester. Typically, the event lasts from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Students practice exams, have access to knowledgeable instructors who can assist with difficult questions, and review proven test strategies.
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam: Applicants may apply directly with NCEES and then apply to the Tennessee Board for Engineer Intern certification after passing the exam. Complete the application online. The application must then be printed because it must be signed by the applicant and the Dean or his/her designee.
