Kim Shumpert, Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute
Over her career, Kim has served in the public, private, nonprofit and education sectors. Utilizing her passion for transformation, she is working to create an ecosystem where women thrive personally and professionally. Through strategic organizational growth and partnership cultivation, she focuses on issues-driven, evidence-based collective impact that improves economic mobility for women.
She has had the honor of working with numerous respected business leaders and philanthropists and now blends these experiences into the work she does to increase the leadership capabilities and influence women as Executive Director of Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute.
She currently serves on the board of the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachia and is a member of the Rotary Club of Chattanooga. Before returning to her hometown of Chattanooga in 2016, she was a board member for Craighead County Community Foundation, Arkansas Community Foundation, Arkansas Non-profit Alliance, Jonesboro Economical Transit System, and Jonesboro Rotary Club. She also worked with the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Task Force. In 2006, she was presented a national award for service during the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
She and her husband, Brad, are proud to now invest their time, talent, and treasure into the Greater Chattanooga community. They and their two daughters reside in Signal Mountain, TN.
