Interior Architecture and Design Curriculum
The four year Bachelor of Science degree is a first professional degree that prepares students to enter interior design practice. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Exam (NCIDQ), which is the gateway to professionalism and required for practice in many states, as interior designers. Graduates are not eligible to sit for the professional architecture exam (unless they seek an additional degree in architecture). In addition, graduates cannot call themselves interior architects in the state of Tennessee.
